    Description

    An Ainu black bear Japanese wood carving that measures 10.75" long by 6.75 high by 6" wide.  Carved and hand hewn from one solid piece of wood, it is carrying a freshly caught fighting salmon in its mouth as it wanders the forest for a quiet place to enjoy its feast.  Beautiful fine carving lines that accentuate its fur, this bear is in very good condition or its age from the 1960's.
